In a greenhouse, climate, water and energy are not solved separately

Structure, climate control, irrigation and energy are interdependent decisions. Choose one in isolation and the cost surfaces during operation.

AGIMEX Engineering TeamPublished:

Crop and production calendar determine the structure

Greenhouse type, height, bay width and covering material follow from the crop's light requirement, working height and the intended production calendar. Winter production changes what heating and lighting the structure must carry; summer production changes cooling and shading. Selecting the structure first and adding a climate system afterwards usually costs more and works less well.

Water and nutrients form a closed loop

Under protected cultivation, irrigation, fertigation, drainage and — where used — recovery are one loop rather than four systems. Nutrient solution concentration, drainage fraction and root-zone conditions are monitored together. If the destination of drainage water is not decided at the start, environmental and operating problems have to be solved retrospectively.

Ventilation and energy are two sides of one decision

Ventilating to control humidity loses heat, and heating capacity has to cover that loss. Choosing between screens, heat recovery and dehumidification cannot be done without local climate and energy prices. Energy calculation is therefore an input to the structural decision, not an output of it.

Acceptance criteria are written before commissioning

Which internal climate values will be achieved under which external conditions, and where and how they will be measured, belongs in the contract stage. Without that definition, commissioning stays open to dispute. The number and placement of measurement points affect the result directly and are specified as well.

Turnkey Agricultural Projects

For investors and agricultural operations, AGIMEX undertakes turnkey and integrated agricultural projects — turnkey greenhouse, orchard, irrigation and field irrigation projects — combining project development and engineering, procurement and supply, systems integration, installation, automation, testing and commissioning within one agreed scope. “Turnkey” describes that integrated delivery scope, not a fixed EPC or lump-sum contract model; responsibilities are defined in each contract.

Irrigation Engineering & Water Management

Irrigation design and engineering for commercial farms, orchards and greenhouses, and turnkey irrigation and field irrigation projects: AGIMEX carries crop-led hydraulic design and system specification and, within the agreed scope, procurement and supply, fertigation, automation, installation, testing and commissioning. AGIMEX does not manufacture irrigation equipment.

Data-Driven Agriculture

For farms, greenhouses and agricultural investments with installed or planned infrastructure: AGIMEX defines the measurement architecture and monitoring requirements, reads operating data against the engineering design, and sets up decision support and performance evaluation. This is engineering and agronomic decision support, not a software product.

Agribusiness Advisory

Agricultural feasibility studies, technical due diligence, project preparation and design review for agricultural investments — advisory grounded in production systems, technical feasibility and operating realities.
